Welcome to the 101st. Table Top Tuesday. We had such a great turnout for the 100th and you all had so many fabulous, gorgeous and creative vignettes. I used the random number thingy (which I can't get to print here) for the gifts. So without further fanfare, here are the winners.!!!
#1. The winner of the 1/2 price pillow or item from Ann's Sutton Place Designs is Linda @ White Weathered Hutch. Please get in touch with Ann and give her your choice.
#2. The winner of the beautiful painting from Paulette @ Summerland Cottage is Jacqualine @ Cabin and Cottage. Please contact Paulette and she will mail the beautiful painting to you right away.
#3. $50.00 Visa Gift Card is Tanya @ Take Six. Email me your address and I will get the gift card off to you right away.
I can't thank you all enough for all the wonderful good wishes and for joining the party. You guys made my day. Thanks tons. Now on to the party for today. I am sure you will amaze me as usual.
Isn't it funny when you start cleaning how you get the urge to switch things up. I had just put a new vignette together on the dining table and then I started trying to clean and organize the china cabinet. All of a sudden I had the urge to use a lot more silver. So part of my previous arrangement got moved to the buffet and a new display wound up on the table. (The china cabinet still isn't done, I'll have to show you that later.)
The larger coffee pot was a GW find also, along with the tray. The smaller pot is mine and has a small tray with cream and sugar received as a wedding gift. The cream and sugar I am using here belonged to my MIL. I think you can mix all of your silver and all the patterns.
I thought the buffet needed a little silver too.
A silver tray holds my silver water pitcher filled with feathers. A beautiful grape carved wine bottle holder holds one of my favorite wines. (Save those empty bottlers, they are wonderful to decorate with. Decorative stoppers are fabulous also. ) A tiny silver bowl holds corks.
How about you, do you mix your metals and do you like both gold and silver?
Thanks for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits. Be sure to link up below and be sure to visit as many posts as you can. You will definitely be inspired.

ReplyDeleteHow fun that you have mixed your own good silver pieces with finds from GW, Marty! I know what it is to start cleaning then change up everything in sight! Unfortunately, I never get my cleaning done because I'm so busy "playing." LOL
ReplyDeleteI do like to use different metal finishes- it adds more interest, IMHO. And I am still one to believe that brass is okay~ Thanks for hosting, once again. :-) Sue

Marty, you know I'm smiling at your silver vignettes. I often use silver around our home. In fact, a tray of silver tea/coffee pots is still on my sideboard. They no longer hold greens or baby's breath, but rather stand alone in all their glory. ;-) Thanks for hosting each week. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteMarty, this is stunning! I love your use of feathers with the silver- perfect for this time of year! Thanks for hosting each week!
ReplyDeleteOh Marty, I feel like the "problem child" sometimes at your party because I always seem to push the limits on the suggested guidelines! LOL The day I did this post, a beautiful fresh snow had fallen and I thought it would be so pretty to show the thrifty idea I had by setting up a small "vignette" in the snow. I don't know, sometimes things just pop up in my head and I have to go with it!
ReplyDeleteYour dining room table and side table look so pretty. I love to mix metals and I really love all metals, silver, brass, pewter, copper....and I just think they can look so pretty all mixed up together. And I also love different patterns. It makes things more interesting.
I love looking at your rotating vignettes and to see the lovely things you have. I love the dogs, I'm so partial to dogs as I collect them. I love your silver mix, they're all so pretty. Thank you for hosting and having me. Have a great week.

I've heard that it is very acceptable to mix gold with silver if its tastefully done. Love what you have done to mix things up at your house. You always do such a beautiful job.

ReplyDeleteHi Marty, your mixture of silver looks lovely. Fun to have a few pieces from your MIL and your wedding. I am much more a silver gal than gold. However, I don't have much of it. Surely nothing that could copare to your wonderful collection
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
I've really like all your beautiful silver. I just bought a pair of silver candle stick holders I found while out "thrifting" last Saturday. Seeing all your gorgeous pieces could mean trouble for me! Thanks for letting me join in Table Top Tuesday.

Silver must be in the air! I'm feeling the need for more silver this year too, so I've added the champagne bucket, candy bowl and silver tea pot to my dining room. Love the way you added coffee (?) beans to the hurricane candle holder, and then a sprig of something with a bit of silver. Great brown and silver combination. Thanks for posting and hosting. Have a great week. ~CJ
ReplyDeleteMarty, all of it looks beautiful. I love those pearl sprigs in front of the candles. How clever of you. laurie
